By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan.com: The NCAA Tournament is no longer something Washington State can only look at with longing. It is now within reach for Washington State as it looks to go dancing for the first time since 2008. With the sweep of the Mountain schools this weekend, the Cougars are 15-6/6-4 and No. 40 in the NET.
Prior to Saturday’s win over Colorado, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had the Cougars 10 teams shy of making the tournament. But the Quad 1 victory over the Buffs almost certainly will move the Cougars up when he next updates on Tuesday. Jerry Palm of CBS already has WSU at the top of his First Four Out.
