Each week our senior football writers—Dane Miller, Nick Bartlett, Stephen Vilardo, Mark Shmor, and Mik Dietlin—select an Offensive, Defensive, and Freshman Player of the Week throughout the 2021 football season.
They submit their selections before the official Pac-12 Players of the Week are released to keep their choices independent. Eight different players received votes in Week Six.

— Offensive Player of the Week —
Jayden de Laura, Sophomore Quarterback, Washington State
Jayden de Laura completed 32 of 56 passes for 399 yards and three touchdowns in Washington State’s 31-24 win over Oregon State.
His performance earned the sophomore a PFF ranking of 74.9, fourth among Pac-12 quarterbacks in Week 6.

Tyler Johnson, Junior Defensive Lineman, Arizona State
Tyler Johnson made five total tackles, four solo, with two sacks and three-and-a-half tackles for loss in Arizona State’s 28-10 victory over Stanford.
The junior defensive end earned the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week Award for his efforts, and is currently tied for fourth in the Pac-12 in sacks for the season, with a 77.8 PFF rating, second-best in the Pac-12.

Devaughn Vele, Freshman Wide Receiver, Utah
Devaughn Vele led all Ute receivers with four passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in Utah’s 42-26 win over USC in Los Angeles.
The freshman wide receiver now has six receptions on the year for 117 yards, with a 19.5 yards per catch average.
