Each week our senior football writers—Dane Miller, Jack Follman, Nick Bartlett, Stephen Vilardo, Mark Shmor, and Mik Dietlin—select an Offensive, Defensive, and Freshman Player of the Week throughout the 2021 football season.

They submit their selections before the official Pac-12 Players of the Week are released to keep their choices independent. Seven different players received votes in Week One.

Bruin junior running back Zach Charbonnet rushed for 117 yards on 11 carries, averaging 10.6 yards per attempt, with a long of 43 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown run in UCLA’s 38-27 victory over LSU.

His performance earned him a Pac-12-high 93.1 grade from PFF. This on the heels of a three-touchdown showing the previous week vs. Hawaii.

Devin Lloyd, Junior Linebacker, Utah

Ute junior linebacker Devin Lloyd recorded 12 total tackles (seven solo) with one sack, one forced fumble, and one interception in Utah’s 40-17 victory over Weber State.

Lloyd’s performance earned him 74.9 grade from PFF, second-best among Pac-12 linebackers.

Justin Flowe, Freshman Linebacker, Oregon

Oregon Ducks Logo Pac-12 Duck freshman linebacker Justin Flowe recorded Conference-leading 14 total tackles (five solo) and forced a fumble in Oregon’s 31-24 victory over Fresno State, helping to fill in for an injured Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Flowe’s performance earned him a 75.8 rushing defense grade from PFF, seventh-best among Pac-12 linebackers with 30 or more snaps.
