PonyStampede: SMU landed yet another graduate transfer with Washington State kicker Blake Mazza announcing on Twitter he’ll spend the final two years of his college career with the Mustangs. A former walk-on who earned a scholarship at WSU this past offseason, the Plano, Texas native was 4-for-4 on field goals this past season with a long of 49 yards, and 12 of 13 extra points.
The year before, Mazza was phenomenal, hitting 20-of-21 FGs (95.2 percent) with a long of 51, while connecting on 55-of-57 extra points. It was the fourth-most field goals made in program history. A first-team All-Pac-12 selection, he became the first Groza finalist in WSU history.
