By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Washington State is going with a crimson helmet, anthracite jersey, and crimson pants look for the Apple Cup on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on CBS. Normally, that would seem like a natural uniform combo and no one would think twice. But Wazzu has marketed this game as “stripe the stadium” with alternating sections wearing crimson and white.
It may have made more sense to go with a crimson and white combination this week. But instead it will be crimson, anthracite, crimson.
