Washington State football plots Apple Cup shock, and maybe a couch fire

By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Josh Meredith is well aware how important the Apple Cup — especially this Apple Cup — is to Washington State. The 2-1 Cougars host the 2-0 Huskies on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on CBS and coming off of a disastrous loss to North Texas, there is added fuel to the already burning fire. And speaking of fire, Meredith after practice on Tuesday said something else could combust if the Cougars win.

“Like I say every week, we’re just trying to go 1-0 so it would just be another win for us,” Meredith said.
