Washington hoops guard Mekhi Mason commits to Wake Forest out of portal

By Thomas Goldkamp, On3 Sports: Wake Forest has landed a commitment from Washington guard Mekhi Mason out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Mason spent one year with the Huskies.

Mason originally enrolled at Rice and spent two seasons with the Owls. Then he transferred to Washington ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

He fared fairly well at the higher level, though his per game averages dipped a bit from his sophomore season to his junior season. Still, Mason was a very productive player.
