By JD McCarthy, College Sports Wire via Yahoo Sports: The Washington Huskies have made a major addition to their 2027 recruiting class, landing a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane, who committed Thursday on the CBS Sports’ YouTube channel.
Ioane committed to Washington over UCLA, Cal, Penn State, and Stanford. He visited the Huskies earlier this month for a Junior Day and is set to return to campus on June 5 for an official visit. He also has officials scheduled with Cal, Penn State, and UCLA, as they will surely keep recruiting him.
He is ranked as the No. 267 overall player and No. 12 athlete in the 247Sports composite. The Tustin native is also the No. 24 player from California. He has earned the athlete designation after playing all over the field during his time at Tustin High School.
