By Alex Katson, Huskies Wire: Washington head coach Jedd Fisch will be the team’s de facto offensive coordinator this season.
After offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jimmie Dougherty parted ways with the Huskies on February 17, some had theorized that Washington would elevate an assistant already on staff to the position to give them a raise. Former New York Jets assistant Matt Cavanaugh also reportedly discussed a role on Washington’s staff around the same time, leading some to believe that he might be the choice for offensive coordinator for the 2026 season.
