By Roman Tomashoff, Huskies Wire: After Hannes Steinbach just 14 points and 3 rebounds in Washington’s loss at Maryland, the Huskies’ biggest star needed to rebound (yes, pun intended) in a big way on Tuesday at Rutgers.
Not only did he do just that with 24 points and 16 boards, his second instance this season of scoring 20-plus points and grabbing 15-plus rebounds in a double-double, but he added 3 blocks, an assist, and a steal in the 79-72 win over the Scarlet Knights. With his performance, the 6-foot-11 freshman also put himself on the verge of making Big Ten history.
