By Alex Katson, Huskies Wire: Washington already has 5 commitments on the defensive side of the ball in the 2027 recruiting class. That includes one defensive lineman, after three-star Matamatagi Uiagelelei from Mater Dei (CA) committed to the Huskies on Sunday.
It looks like Jedd Fisch and defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi are close to closing on a running mate for Uiagalelei, however. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman reported on Monday (subscription required) that Washington is a strong player in the recruitment of four-star edge rusher Zane Rowe out of Denton Guyer (TX).
