By Roman Tomashoff, Huskies Wire: The Washington Huskies‘ first padded practice took place on a perfect Saturday afternoon, and proved why Jedd Fisch paid a hefty price to bring in former Purdue head coach Ryan Walters as his defensive coordinator.
Western Michigan transfer Anterio Thompson stood out at defensive tackle as the Huskies worked on fourth-and-one scenarios, engulfing redshirt freshman running back Jordan Washington, who tried to run up the middle against Washington’s much bigger and stronger front.
