By Washington Media Release: Behind a seven-run fifth inning, Washington (35-18) opened its NCAA Tournament run in victorious fashion, defeating Dallas Baptist (45-15) 9-5 on the opening day of the NCAA Stillwater Regional at O’Brate Stadium.
Sam Boyle picked up the win in relief, allowing one run over 3.1 frames, striking out four. Starter Stu Flesland III took a no decision, allowing four over 4.2 innings.
