Dawgman: University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) has announced that it will be implementing additional cost-saving measures to combat the financial impacts of COVID-19. This second round of cost mitigations includes the elimination of 16 positions (a combination of filled and vacant positions) and temporary furloughs or FTE (full-time employment) reductions for an additional 35 staff. ICA will also realize savings in operational expenses related to reduced or eliminated regular-season and post-season travel, as well as savings due to a significant reduction in game day operating expenses.
