By Chris Trevino, USCFootball: USC’s defense will be without starting linebacker Eric Gentry for its upcoming spring camp due to offseason ankle surgery. Gentry posted on social media he was undergoing surgery on Thursday.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pound linebacker injured his ankle in USC’s road loss to Utah in the second half, famously jumping onto the field on one leg during a timeout to encourage his defensive teammates on a key drive.
