By Chris Trevino, USCFootball.com: USC football is expected to add Kerry Thompson as an assistant strength coach to new Director of Football Sports Performance Trumain Carroll, first reported by Football Scoop on Monday. Thompson arrives from HBCU Alabama State where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Performance Enhancement.
Thompson is the second hire for Carroll, joining Lonnie Maddox, who will take on the title of Associate Director of Football Sports Performance. Maddox joins Carroll from Kansas State as well.
