By Arizona Athletics: The United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) announced on Tuesday that Arizona sophomore Bennedict Mathurin has been selected as the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week for games ending Dec. 12.
Mathurin is the first Wildcat since Lauri Markkanen in 2016-17 to be named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week. On Monday, Mathurin was named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
