By R.J. Abeytia, Bruin Report Online: Things were looking grim for UCLA after six games. The Bruins endured a staggering gauntlet of elite opponents and sat at 1-5 halfway through the regular season. DeShaun Foster’s team managed to course correct on the road with a 35-32 win at Rutgers.
The following week, the Bruins went to Lincoln (Neb.) and got the best of Matt Rhule’s Cornhuskers 27-20. Last Friday night, the Bruins kept the good vibes going by securing the first home win of Foster’s tenure with a 20-17 win over Iowa.
