247Sports: The transfer portal is on fire. There’s no other way to describe it. With a one-time transfer exemption on the horizon and many seniors opting to return for a free fifth or sixth season, there are more players than ever entering the portal looking for their next opportunity.
In just the last few days we’ve seen former four-star backs from Texas and Michigan enter the portal. We’ve seen a former five-star DB transfer from Georgia to Miami and a former five-star tackle jump from Tennessee to Oklahoma. While I was writing this story, a former five-star DB opted to leave Austin. And that’s only scratching the surface of the movement.
