By Nick Schultz, On3: With the 2025-26 men’s college basketball season in the books, USA Today released new coach salaries information. That includes school buyout information for head coaches.
The data from USA Today is as of April 1 for coaches who were on the sidelines this past year. In fact, one coach – Kansas State’s Jerome Tang – was fired during the season despite having a buyout that ranked in the Top 25, according to USA Today.
The data released this week includes mostly public schools, meaning private school figures are not available.
