By Robbie Weinstein, 247Sports: The Big 12 has its first coaching change of the season, as Texas Tech is firing coach Matt Wells according to a report from Jarret Johnson of Inside the Red Raiders on the 247Sports Network.
Tech is off to a 5-3 start, but the Red Raiders blew a 14-point lead against Kansas State on Saturday in excruciating fashion and face a difficult schedule the rest of the season.
