By Jackson Moore, Cardinal247: Stanford’s first ACC trip to North Carolina delivered one of the Cardinal’s most thrilling wins in recent memory. With the game on the line in front of UNC’s crowd of 21,750, Cardinal guard Jaylen Blakes sank the game-winning shot with just 1.5 seconds remaining for a 72-71 victory.
While East Coast trips and the Dean E. Smith Center were still new for the Cardinal program, Blakes was certainly familiar with the Tar Heels after spending three years at Duke. Blakes did not score a point against North Carolina in three years playing for the Blue Devils, but poured in 20 as a transfer to Stanford.
