By Joe Vitale, Athlon Sports: According to a report by Wally Hall of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Deion Sanders was a strong contender for a head coaching position in the SEC.
Hall appeared on the Paul Finebaum Show on Wednesday and reported that in 2019, Sanders interviewed for the head coach role at the University of Arkansas, competing against Willie Fritz from Tulane and Sam Pittman, the Georgia offensive line coach.
