By Scooby Axson, USA TODAY: Russell Wilson tried to get Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll fired before the quarterback was traded to the Denver Broncos last year, The Athletic reported Friday, citing league sources.
Wilson went to Seahawks ownership in February 2022 with his grievances and wanted a housecleaning that would result in Carroll and general manager John Schneider being replaced and Sean Payton being installed as the new coach.
