By Riley Gates, 247Sports: For the first time since 1982, the Oregon State Beavers are headed to the Elite Eight. On Saturday, the Beavers knocked off Loyola-Chicago by seven points, which resulted in there being demands for more respect for them. It also benefitted the Pac-12 Conference from a financial standpoint.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel, the win resulted in $6.72 million to the Pac-12. Thamel reports the money will be distributed to the league in roughly $500,000 payments for each school.
