247Sports: The mother of Louis Nix, who was reported missing Friday, told Action News Jax news anchor and reporter Ben Becker that the former Notre Dame defensive lineman died Saturday. Nix was 29.
Becker said on Twitter that Nix’s mother “has confirmed to me that the former Raines High School and Notre Dame star who played in the NFL has passed away.” The previous day, Becker cited Nix’s mother in reporting his missing status.
