Purdue to start freshman quarterback against Oregon on Friday

By James Crepea, The Oregonian/OregonLive: Oregon will face a redshirt-freshman quarterback in Friday night’s game against Purdue.

Ryan Browne, who started in place of the injured Hudson Card last week against Illinois, will start again for the Boilermakers (1-5, 0-3 Big Ten) against the No. 2 Ducks.

Purdue to start freshman QB against No. 2 Oregon football

Browne went 18 of 26 for 297 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 118 yards in a 50-49 overtime loss to Illinois last week.
