By Andrew Pistone, College Sports Wire: The 2026 bowl season is going to look radically different in some ways, and remarkably similar in others.
It was announced that Puerto Rico will host a college football bowl game for the first time ever. The island territory has a chance to put its best cleats forward on a major stage. Puerto Rico was supposed to host a Division II college football tilt between HBCUs Kentucky State and Franklin Pierce last season, but plans were shelved due to substandard field conditions.
