Pete Carroll talks about how USC fans reacted after he was hired by Trojans

By Adam Bradford, Trojans Wire: As we all know, Pete Carroll is a USC legend. During his nine seasons as the head coach of the program, the Trojans won two national championships and four Rose Bowls, produced three Heisman Trophy winners, and recorded countless other accomplishments.

Few saw that coming when Carroll was first hired, however. At the time, he was seen as a failed NFL coach, and his hiring by the Trojans was met with much skepticism.
