By Clint Buckley, 247Sports: The SEC made it official late last week by unanimously accepting the applications of Texas and Oklahoma, which are leaving the Big 12 in favor of college football’s best and most powerful conference.
As of now, the Longhorns and Sooners are slated to join the SEC in time for the 2025 season, but there is widespread speculation the move could come before the Big 12 media rights expire that summer.
