Colorado’s Jarek Broussard

Colorado’s Jarek Broussard wasn’t even listed on the depth chart last preseason when an injury to returning starter Alex Fontenot allowed the redshirt freshman to seize the starting job.
He made the most of his opportunity.
Despite missing all of 2019 with a torn ACL, Broussard finished the season third nationally in rushing yards per game (149.17), becoming the first player in CU history to rush for at least 100 yards in his first four games.
He was named Pac-12 offensive player of the week twice, including after rushing for 301 yards—fourth-most in a game in Colorado history—in a win at Arizona.
His season accomplishments earned him Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and First Team Conference honors.
