Pac-12 football could scrap divisional format as early as 2023

By Matt Zemek, Trojans Wire: It only makes sense, right? If a Power Five conference gets rid of divisions, that means its football championship game is always a matchup of the top two teams in the standings.

This eliminates the possibility of what we have often seen in the ACC over the years: Clemson playing a four- or five-loss Coastal Division champion instead of the second-best team in the league.
