Since Oregon State athletes began returning to campus on June 15 for voluntary workouts, the results from its COVID-19 tests are remarkable.
After nearly seven weeks of testing, only three athletes from 15 sports, including the bulk of the football team, have tested positive for COVID-19. Dr. Doug Aukerman, OSU’s athletic director for sports medicine, said the school has conducted more than 500 tests, including about 100 last week.
