OSU, Jonathan Smith approve enrollment of OL guilty of felony coercion

OregonLive: Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith said Wednesday the team did substantial research and interviews before adding redshirt sophomore lineman Marco Brewer to the football roster this week.

The Corvallis High graduate in 2018 pleaded guilty to one count of felony coercion. It was the result of an incident at a post-prom party in 2017, when Brewer was originally charged with multiple crimes.

Brewer is a 6-4, 296-pound offensive lineman who graduated from Corvallis High and was once a verbal commit to UCLA
