OSU AD says Jonathan Smith’s new contract proof school a ‘destination place’

By Nick Daschel, The Oregonian/OregonLive: Scott Barnes said he had been thinking about a new contract for Oregon State football coach “for quite a few weeks” prior to Sunday’s announcement of a new deal.

The OSU athletic director said he came to terms with Smith on a six-year, $30.6 million contract a few weeks ago.
