Duck Territory:Â Amidst the noise of the Big Ten returning to play and the Pac-12 decision-makers getting the necessary hurdles cleared for a potential return to play, the NCAA made a major ruling that impacts every level of college sports.
The recruiting dead period, which went into place on March 14, has now been extended through the end of the year. It was a sudden change for the NCAA which had been kicking the can down the road over the summer, extending the dead period by a month each time. But with the current expiration set for Sept. 30, the NCAA decided no more visits in 2020.
