Duck Territory: Oregon defensive coordinator Andy Avalos is a logical name to link to Boise State’s recently-open head coaching position. A star linebacker for the Broncos in the early 2000s, he spent the better part of the last decade coaching at his alma mater, including three seasons as defensive coordinator from 2016-18 before bouncing to Eugene in 2019 to join Mario Cristobal’s staff.
Early reports have named him on the short lists of possible replacements for Bryan Harsin who accepted the Auburn position on Tuesday.
