By Garrett Stepien, 247Sports: Oregon State freshman outside linebacker Semisi Saluni was credited with assisting the Concord (Calif.) Police Department in stopping a car burglary suspect. Suspect Roman Banks, according to a report Monday by Dion Lim of ABC7 News in San Francisco, was also caught on camera in February breaking into the home of an Asian senior couple aged 81 and 87.
The first instance of Banks’ reported criminal activity included Saluni, who while sightseeing with his family at Twin Peaks in San Francisco stopped an attempted car break-in. After Saluni’s cousin tackled Banks to the ground, he held him down until a police presence arrived.
