By John Evans, Duck Territory: After capturing a conference title and reaching the biggest stage in softball at the Women’s College World Series for the first time during her tenure, Oregon head coach Melyssa Lombardi was awarded a contract extension for her efforts, athletic director Rob Mullens announced on Tuesday afternoon. With her previous contract set to expire after the upcoming 2026 season, Lombardi’s new deal will now keep her in Eugene through 2030.
“I am extremely grateful to Rob Mullens, Aaron Wasson, and the entire University of Oregon administration for their long-term commitment and support of the Oregon softball program,” Lombardi said in the team’s press release on Tuesday.
