By Carter Bahns, 247Sports: Florida brought an end to the men’s college basketball season Monday night with its victory over Houston in the national championship game, and with that, two-thirds of the athletic year is in the books.
UConn cut the nets on the women’s side over the weekend, and the first major championship of the year came three months ago when Ohio State achieved glory in the first edition of the 12-team College Football Playoff.
Spring sports still have a ways to go before their completion — the College World Series brings an end to the 2024-25 calendar in mid-June — but it is already increasingly clear which universities can stake the strongest claim to being an “everything school.”
