By Wichita State Athletics: A marquee home-and-home series has been added to the schedule for Wichita State men’s basketball in 2026 and 2027.
Wichita State will host New Mexico in Charles Koch Arena on Nov. 21, 2026 and make the return trip to The Pit in Albuquerque in 2027. That date has not been set.
The two programs haven’t met since Nov. 22, 2006 in Las Vegas. The Lobos have won each of the last three matchups in the series to grab a 3-2 lead all time against the Shockers. New Mexico hasn’t played in Wichita since 1958 – an 81-53 win for Wichita State.
