By Adam Munsterteiger, BuffStampede: Not often is a returning second-team all-conference selection an underdog to win the starting role the following year. But that is exactly where Sam Noyer finds himself after the abbreviated 2020 season, and following post-season surgery on his throwing shoulder.
Noyer led the Buffs to a 4-0 start, and won a Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honor after a four touchdown performance against Stanford, but his play dipped late during the season. He completed just 8 of his 23 pass attempts, with two interceptions, against Texas in the Alamo Bowl.
