By Dean Straka, 247Sports: Oklahoma Sooners head coach Porter Moser is hiring Oregon Ducks assistant Armon Gates — the younger brother of Mizzou head coach Dennis Gates — to his staff in Norman, according to college basketball insider John Rothstein.
Gates is exiting his first season on staff in Eugene after spending the four seasons prior as an assistant coach at Nebraska. Gates also coached at Florida, Northwestern, Loyola Chicago, TCU, Kent State and Western Kentucky in the past.
