Notre Dame AD warns ACC did ‘permanent damage’ to relationship with Irish

By Steve Samra, On3: Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua isn’t happy with the ACC after the Fighting Irish were jumped by Miami in the final College Football Playoff rankings, leaving them outside the Top 12. He claimed the conference did “permanent damage” to their relationship by campaigning against his team.

“I have tremendous respect for Miami, great team, great school. Their athletic director, Dan Radekovich, is a good friend, and all the teams in the ACC are great, wonderful universities. We have no gripes against any of the schools in the ACC. But we were mystified by the actions of the conference, to attack, you know, their biggest business partner in football, and a member of their conference in 24 of our other sports.
