By Chris Murray, Nevada Sports Net: The day Washington State hired Jim Mastro as an assistant coach in December 2011, he began recruiting his first prospect.
That prospect was a small wide receiver from La Habra, Calif., about 10 miles north of Anaheim. His name was Brett Bartolone.
“He committed to us that night,” Mastro said.
And almost 15 years later, those two are together again, with Bartolone the Nevada Wolf Pack’s first-year offensive coordinator and Mastro serving as running backs coach.
