By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: New Mexico guard Donovan Dent entered college basketball’s transfer portal Tuesday, the latest high-profile player to submit his name coming out of the NCAA Tournament.
Dent, the Mountain West Player of the Year, averaged 20.6 points and 6.4 assists per game this season as one of the nation’s leading scorers.
Dent immediately earned a five-star transfer grade and is the No. 2 overall portal prospect. He was a four-star recruit in the 2022 class and helped the Lobos reach this year’s tournament before falling to Michigan State, 71-63, in the second round.
