By Chris Murray, Nevada Sports Net: As a Los Angeles native who played for heralded prep program St. John Bosco, new Nevada wide receivers coach Keith Price has deep ties to Southern California, a talent-rich area the Wolf Pack used to recruit with great success.
But that Wolf Pack pipeline to Los Angeles has dried up in recent seasons, which was a major selling point for Nevada head coach Jeff Choate when he hired Price this offseason.
“I’m actually surprised we don’t have more L.A. athletes here,” Price said. “Even going back home recruiting, they’re, like, ‘Man, we haven’t seen Nevada here in years.’
