Nevada requests an extra $10M in state money to gain equality with UNLV

By Chris Murray, Nevada Sports Net: The University of Nevada is asking for an additional $10 million in state funding for its athletic department to get on equal footing with UNLV in state support and invest in additional scholarships in women’s sports.

The Nevada Board of Regents will hold a special meeting Thursday at UNLV with that additional financial request scheduled to be discussed. UNLV, meanwhile, is asking for an additional $5 million for the same period.
