By Dean Straka, Bruin Report Online: NCAA March Madness is back for the first time in two years, and this year’s NCAA First Four will feature a matchup of two teams that one might say are historically more accustomed to Final Fours than play-in games.
UCLA and Michigan State will square off in one for the First Four matchups, and the selection of the Spartans, in particular, came as a surprise to some after MSU teetered on the bubble before ultimately found it would be going dancing for a 23rd consecutive season. UCLA, meanwhile, returns to the tournament for the first time since 2017.
