No. 1 UCLA’s opening day loss to four-seed Saint Mary’s nearly broke the internet on Friday, taking the college baseball world by storm.
And eight-and-a-half innings into its elimination game on Saturday, the storylines grew even louder. The Bruins were down to their final three outs, trailing two-seed Virginia Tech 5-3 after the Hokies added an insurance run in the top half.
